Formats and Codecs

I will use a 720p (lowest form of HD) camera shooting at 60 frames per second in case I want to slow anything down.
The output file from the camera will be a .mov quicktime file in H.264 which is a delivery (format/codec).
Before I import it into Final Cut I will need to convert it into ProRez422 - an intermediate format, so that the software can handle it easier.
